I'm sure I'm not the only person who hates to talk on the phone. I do it at work, but in general I avoid the phone and at home always have my land line routed through an answering machine for screening. Most of the calls I get are junk anyway, despite being on the no call list since its beginning.
What I could use is an iPod with a cellular data plan that I could tether to my home network and jettison the satellite broadband and its onerous fair access policy (FAP).
Apple has always been out in front on what is useful and appealing to individuals, which is why, despite persistent efforts by the big business jackboots, it has forged an appealing and satisfying combination of electronic products and services that support the unfettered creation and consumption of content.
I don't see why Apple couldn't keep its exclusivity contract with AT&T for the iPhone and create new allilances with Verizon and Sprint to offer a 3G or 4G iPod Touch or iTablet with unlimited data transfer.
How about it Santa Jobs? I'll be less naughty and more nice.
