I find it refreshing that after years of liberal nabobs of negativism and anti-competitive socialists telling us teabaggers and compassionate conservatives that limp-wristed diplomacy is preferable to the rock 'em. sock 'em, blowing their asses to kingdom come approach of The Greatest Generation that we finally have a man in charge of our warrior class who can look beyond the suicidal heroics of 300 and 60 years of defensive posturing to a world in which our great nation of miserable fucks (NOMF™) can once again strut its stuff on the world stage without shame, and let the rest of the planet fight over the silver and bronze medals.
That's right, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the NOMF now has a man in charge in Afghanistan who doesn't think that unwinnable wars are hopeless causes and its time to cut and run, as we did in Iraq under his command.
No, finally, we have a man of vision and courage and boundless optimism who is willing to voice the wishes of so many of our fellow citizens. He's willing to call a spade a spade without fear of offending the head nigra while pumping up a citizenry that has been down so long it looks like the whole world consists of soft glowing cucumbers in the crisper, assuming the world is the binary construct upon which so much of Western civilization is based.
As of Independence Day, 2010, the NOMF has earned the sacrifice of less than 10% of the brave heroes lost in the monumental Vietnamese Disagreement, which itself was a tribute to those who became meaningful statistics during the Korean Domestic Dispute.
How long can we continue to celebrate our greatest accomplishment by shopping on Independence Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Veteran's Day, Patriot's Day, without the kinds of sacrifice that result from being willing to win at all costs? Not long, I'm afraid, as the recently depressing Not-So-Great Economic Floodablast had shown us.
Please join me in applauding the efforts of General Petraeus to restore pride in this great NOMF of ours and teach us once again how winning is everything, and anything else is unimportant.
