My personal opinion on the current disaster in the Gulf of Mexico — a name I find personally offensive, considering its obvious detachment from Arizona, where the war against descendants of people who either slaughtered the indigenous peoples or established unholy alliances with them before we understood how to keep all options on the table — is it is all a tempest in a coffer dam.
Seriously, who gave a shit about the Gulf Coast as Katrina did exactly what NOAA predicted it would do?
Why should anyone give a shit that Event Horizon deep water well is doing exactly what realistic and responsible engineers predicted it would do?
You hire Halliburton to cap a well, and you get what you deserve, people. Hasn't anyone been awake at the switch for the past two decades?
